The First State Bank opened its Oklahoma City branch at 3030 Northwest Expressway in February 2010 under the direction of Chairman and CEO David Durrett and President – CFO, Chris Turner. Originally known as The First State Bank of Canute, it began operation in 1902 and is Oklahoma's first and oldest chartered bank. The Canute branch of the bank is still in full operation and a second branch opened in Midwest City in 2003. The First State Bank is considered a state icon of financial stability with over 108 years of service to Oklahomans and Oklahoma businesses.
